A Squirrel in the Garden!

It started out small enough...a wee mini-charm pack diversion.
It seems these Disappearing 4-Patches appear on my impulsive radar from time to time and kinda take over for a bit.
I totally blame Carla aka LollyQuiltz, because of this amaze-balls quilt!
Once again, I have missed the simple graphic effect of my inspiration.
I started out with 3 neutral backgrounds, didn't think there was enough contrast between the 2 lights, and too much contrast between the lights and the dark.  So I ended up adding one more medium gray, which also meant one more block per solid. They almost always grow, don't they?
But this, in all it's imperfect organic tiny-ness, makes me happy enough!
In spite of it's "budging" in line!
This backing brings as much ooh and ahh to my heart as anything else about this little mini!
One of my very first online gratifications, Garden Party by Jane Dixon, that has not seen it's way into much else in all this time!
It just seems to complement the very light pink and the rosy grays from the front perfectly!
This quilt finishes right at 16", with each little block measuring right at 3", and a 2" border.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look at my Gardenvale/Garden Party-crashing little squirrel! :) (That is stretching the metaphor a bit, isn't it?! Sorry!)

A pleasant outcome form some creative play Sarah. The border helps finish it well and I love the backing fabric too!

The design, fabrics and texture your quilting added give this wonderful quilt such a down to earth, organic look. I love it Sarah!
