A Question For You...

Bloggy quandary ahead, proceed at your own risk!
When I set up this blog, the "Here We Are" blog address was already taken, so I used "cedarfork" for the blogspot address.  It has always bugged me that the name of my blog doesn't match it's blogspot addy...would it bother you folks much if I changed the title of my blog to Cedar Fork?

The idea only occurred to me this morning.  Another option is this, I also have the original blog I started for barn quilts called "Prairie Patchworks".  Would it be worth the the work to "export/import" this blog to that one...thus unifying everything: my email, blog title and blog addy...and etsy shop?

It is confusing isn't it?  The whole thing came up to my mind as a result of thinking of watermarking some of my photos.  "Here We Are" is just  a title, cedarfork is unrecognizable because it is just an addy. Prairie Patchworks is easily found if you are looking for barn quilts, but who wants to find all this if you're searching for barn quilts?  And then there is the question of you all finding me again if I "switch over" to Prairie Patchworks...this is going to take a bit more muddling through I think!
Any input from blogland would be very, very much appreciated!
  A bloggy quandary, indeed!

That is quite a quandary. I hadn't even noticed that your blog title didn't match :S

Yes it is, Miss Alissa! I am thinking I may change the name of my etsy shop, and the blog to Cedar Fork or somesuch...that would leave only my email different..and prairiepatchworks is sooo long for a non-typer such as myself! So sorry if this is all TMI! I do appreciate your comment!!!

I imagine it is relatively easy to change your blog header title so it matches your URL. I'm not sure how easy/difficult it would be to export/import your blog to another.
Maybe you could feature and link to your 'other blog' from each site and also include a clearly visible link to your etsy shop from both blogs.

i think, but i am not sure, that changing your blog name to match your addy would be the simplest. i tried to find you once as Here We Are and i couldn't find you. It was then that i learned your addy was different than your blog name. i have been having a hard time leaving you comments; i can't leave them when i am in Bloglovin but have no problem once i exit there. Hope you come up with a simple solution!!!!!

Thanks Karen and Gina!I think we may be looking at a name change in the near future! Is anyone else having trouble with comments?

I did have a slight hitch leaving a comment and it seems to be because you have an ad box( Camiocam?) which pops up and covers the verification code on first attempt to publish. I haven't seen this on other blogs.

Hi Sarah, Having a different addy than your name is a bit of a problem for searching so I'd probably have them be the same if it were me. Also, I am not able to leave a comment while reading your blog in bloglovin' so there is something not set quite right I'd imagine. I've had that trouble with a few other blogs as well. Finding "Here we Are" blog in google doesn't come up, btw!
