Sweet 16 Medallion - February

I believe this was my January progress:
Friendship Stars around the center Prairie Rose block, and some sawtooth corners...
I had supposed Court House steps next...
but as they accumulated, they seemed, I don't know, a bit dense for this go round...
So I got out these Sunnyside triangles...
Hmmm, I think I like that :) I have several more to make.
And maybe then the Court House Steps...
It is all quite busy business, I know that much!
Quite a different process than my Simply Sawtooth BOM of last year.
But I am definitely enjoying it so far!

I am happy to be joining Carla aka GrannyMaud'sGirl and friends this year with my Sweet 16 Medallion progress :)

This looks like such a fun project, Sarah. I love bright colours.
If you decide to add the courthouse steps now, my vote is for on point. The extra white space lifts the brightness, I think.

This has a nautical look to me! I think you're right in putting the triangles next. They remind me of the flags sailors use, or a banner fluttering in the breeze. It's looking wonderful!

Agreed with above for the log cabins on point. I do hope you quilt the centre bit (out to the triangles) with a spiral - that would look super!

So pretty! I love seeing the evolution and a bit of the thought process with the various rounds!
