It is here again! This is the first time, on this blog, that I have participated in this amazing event! I LOVE all the beautiful quilts displayed, and the excuse to explore the blogs of fun, sweet quilters! Don't we all?!!!
So here is my entry in the Baby Quilt category. I chose this category simply because of the size of this quilt...I didn't have a baby in mind when I made it!
I call it by it's fabric name: "It's A Hoot". And it fits perfectly! I bought the single charm pack on a whim (!!). All I knew was that I wanted triangles and lots of them. And light blue.
This JoAnn's polka dot daisy came to me all the way from Florida, and my Aunt Marge! |
I originally wanted light blue and green on the back, but, hey, It's a Hoot, make do with what ya got!
I was sewing along with Jeni Baker's HST Block of the Month while laying this out, and came up with the border pattern because of her June block. It allowed me to enlarge the quilt, but still keep the feel of lots of triangles. I like the way it all turned out.

It's darling! It'll be a lucky babe that gets that one.
I love this quilt. The fresh colours and traditional blocks work perfectly together and it looks perfect for cosying in with baby :)
Fabulous! I love it! I finally sewed tonight for the first time in forever...half-square triangles! Hopefully I'll have something to share soon!
I love so many things about this quilt...the medallion effect In the center, the border, the aqua color of the solid borders, and I especially love the backing fabric. So pretty!
le votre est vraiment printanier c'est un superbe médaillon
I love the traditional look and I love triangles. It is so pretty.
I like the scrappy look and the light blue, this could be for a baby and doesn't scream either boy or girl!
The colors sing and make me smile!
