Works in Progress! Yay!

Yay, because there actually are works, plural, in progress! Neither of these was on a to make list...impromptu at it's funnest!   This first one for a "sister-in-orange"...

This second one, well, I was zooming away on the orange one yesterday morning, and I just put this one together while taking a breather...
I have a particular baby-on-the-way in mind for this!

when does 80's fabric become "vintage" or "retro" ?
because I got this in the mail this week...
first rolie-polie ever!  Surely not the last!
from the Fat Quarter Shop, while they were on sale for the recent Jelly Roll Jam!   And they sent along the quilt pattern to go with, and I couldn't bear to undo my sweet ginghams just yet, and I already had 2.5 in strips of all my old fabric cut up for a Jewel Box quilt that just wasn't happening, and so, Voila! Instant baby quilt...well almost!

And it's Wednesday!  This hardly qualifies for a "Wordless" Wednesday, so how 'bout  WIP Wednesday (eep!) with Freshly  Pieced?!
Yay!

I am intrigued with the sister-in-orange quilt. Fabrics are so pretty! Sometimes I wonder if I should give some of my 80 s and 90 s fabrics to the Goodwill and then I see a good idea. Thanks for sharing!

The orange quilt is looking pretty!! And way to jump in there and use the pattern and fabric on hand...even better that you already had it cut in strips!! What plans do you have for the jelly roll when you are done looking at its cuteness?? Yay for WIP Wednesday!!
