I just didn't get it done for Tuesday Tidbits, oops!
I have many fun fun fun sewing bits in my basket right now!
First, every once in a while a quilt grabs you, doesn't it?
And then you have to make one to have one, right?
When I saw this on Flickr, I saved every photo of it to favorites! To be honest, I would look at it every couple of days at first! Then she put it in the Bloggers Spring Quilt Festival! I just LOVE it!!!
I decided to make a "reminder" mini of it...to save from having to look it up on the computer so often! No attempt to replicate it exactly, just a "reminder"....the form, the whiteness, the squareness of it!
Turns out, I have made a ROYGIV reminder of it :)

I'm not quite finished, but it is shaping up! |
When I finish, I may have to find a really green field to stand in for pictures.... :)
Secondly, when I made my simple quilt making services available to my friends and family on Facebook, my sweet friend, and sister in orange, Terri, asked immediately for "a place on my quilting dance card"! (she is so cute!)
We had such fun working through to a final pattern decision, and when it came time to choose fabrics, well, let's just say we may have created a new fabric lover!!!
I knew we would have a bit of a challenge on our hands when she chose a Moda line released in January 2013! La Belle Fleur by French General...it is gorgeous!
I located a layer cake....and had to really scout out yardages...yay for Google and Etsy!!!
I've received all but one package of fabric and the batting....I will be happily sewing and sending in-progress teaser photos to Terri this weekend!!!
Super excited to see this one come together!

Thirdly, and finally, I am bringing a new "recipe" out of the oven at the Moda Bake Shop next week!
You may know I am a big fan of Brigitte Heitland of Zen Chic. After an unsuccessful attempt at this pattern with her "Figures" line, where she gave me a personal lesson in contrast and design via FB message(it was awesome!), her newest, "For You" fit the bill beautifully! It is big and colorful and delicious! I hope you will stop by the Bake shop and check it out!
I will leave you with my glorious morning clouds! Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Yay for you coming out with a new recipe!!! You crack me up!!!Hope you find a really green field to go with your rainbow and contrast with the frozen tundra of your inspiration photo!!!! You have created a new fabric; has your friend created a fabric finder addict of out of print lines?!?!?!? Hope you have a good weekend too!!!!
This really looks fantastic! I am so flattered that you liked my design enough to want to make it yourself! I love the way the blocks look in rainbow. It's so much fun to see how the fabric selection changes the final look. I'm really looking forward to seeing it all finished up! Thanks again for the quilty love! - Kim
Lots of fun sewing action at you place! The hunt and anticipation of fabric parcels is one of the many joys of quilting.
Oh gosh... where to start? So much wonderfulness here Sarah!
Love your friend Terri's way of asking you for "a place on your quilting dance card". That is so picturesque! I've always love La Belle Fleur and am amazed you could scout at enough of the fabrics.
Next... A "Reminder Mini" Oh I so LOVE that concept Sarah and also love your little Exodus!
Yahoo for you, you Bakeshop Designer!!! And congratulations! Can't wait to see what you've been cooking up! I love Zen chic fabrics too. That is very awesome that Brigitte Heitland gave you a private lesson in contrast and design! The wonders of the Internet.
Where are you standing that there is snow in summer?
