Bloggers Quilt Festival!

I am so happy that it is time again for
Created by Amy Ellis, with an outstanding host of sponsors, this remains a foundational community building event among online quilting enthusiasts!
THANK YOU!!!!
My first entry is a small throw I finished in February this year, my
Carolyn Friedlander Doe/Carkai HST Quilt!
This is a smallish throw, measuring 45"x 60", that I made just for the pleasure of making and having HSTs from a stack of gorgeous Carolyn Friedlander charm packs!
It began with 5 charm packs, a mix of her Doe and Carkai collections.
So much of the fun was just pairing all those charms to my heart's content!
Seriously, so much FUN!

Of course, arranging all those columns of HSTs was also a delightful part of the quilt making process! It is quilted with simple straight lines on either side of all the seams. Nice!
It was Instagram shopping for the win, for both the backing and the binding!
Inexpensive Doe yardage for the back, and a surprise piece of BOTANICS(!!) for the binding!
(Do you all ever just lose yourselves in #thegreatfabricdestash? Oh my goodness!)
If you want to see the original "Finish" post for this quilt, it is here!
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a look!

XO!

It is always amazing how much a HST is used and how it falls into the simple to complex quilt. But, it is beautiful in just the multicolor quilt.
