"Four Square Float" in McCall's Quick Quilts!

I am totally thrilled to finally be able to share with you
A fun and colorful 3-D design featured in
Don't they make it look good?!
This design began as a mini-mini,
tested with mini charms last summer,
which inspired me to take the plunge and submit the idea to McCall's!
I am so glad I did, as the folks I had the pleasure of working with were over and above flexible and helpful!
For my Four Square Float, I used a variety of charms from 3 different Kona packs, Dusty, Bright and Pastel, Kona Thistle for the "shadow", all on a nice, clean Kona White background, bound with Architextures Crosshatch in charcoal.
I love how the neutral, natural backing and binding complement the bold, bright geometrics of the top.

I have to share this accidental shot I got of the sun shining through from front to back, through the beautiful Valorie Wells Blueprint Basics backing.
oops, it is upside down! still so pretty!
The quilting is my usual straightline quilting, following the seam lines, mostly.

Choosing the colors for each block provided the very best of color play!
So here it is, Four Square Float, finishing at 61"x74"!
"On newsstands now", along with a bonus crib size version online, coming soon!

Definitely Crushing on being able to share this with you all!

Congratulations Sarah. It is a simple, but gorgeous pattern - very modern, crisp and appealing to newbies and experienced quilters. Getting featured was a cherry on top of the chocolate cake :-)
