Trunk Show!

Online Quilt Trunk Show | Whims And Fancies
Trunk Full of Quilts!
at Whims and Fancies!

 How much fun is this?
Link up a new blog post featuring your favorite quilts? Love it!
I also love to play and participate just for the fun of it...and there are some prizes to be won...
this party has pushed all my buttons!
I so look forward to seeing people's favorite makes!
Please play...I want to see your faves too!

There is no question some quilts pop right to mind when I think "my favorites",
so here they are, in no particular order and linked to their original posts:

Winter Sparkle
21" x 21"
I made this for a last minute challenge for Sew Lux fabrics in December 2013

Silver Lining
27" x 27"
This is also known as my "Reminder Mini",
to remind me of Exodus, by Leland Ave. Studios
Made in August 2015

Cathedral Windows

9" x 18"
Made in May 2015
It is simply flurrious!
The unexpected result of an equally unexpected flurry of Cathedral Windows pincushions :)

Prairie Rose
45" x 45"
Pick a Rose, any Rose!
I have a separate label on this blog for "Prairie Rose,"
because once I made the discovery of this block, I haven't stopped making them in some form or another! Each one is a favorite.
This is the original, so it gets to be in the Trunk Show!
bonus baby photo! the block's namesake, Lila Rose
Made in September 2014
I was also happy to make a wonderful full sized, 12 block version for the Moda Bake Shop just this past September, if you want to take a look :)

85" x 91"
This is the quilt on my bed, always!
I can flip it over to it's all white side for an instant "design bed" :)
Made June 2014

48" x 56"
I made this for my Mother-In-Law
I think it is far and away the sweetest quilt I have made!
2 fabrics from Aneela Hoey's Posy, and a charm pack of Bella 30's solids
Made February 2014

50" x 61"
I made this for one of my sisters.
I wish I had made it longer.
I am enraptured by these fabrics, together :)
So much so that this is and will always be my Flickr "header" :)

These were made for my Brother-In-Law,
who also picked and provided all the fabrics, with the exception of the osnaburg on the back...that was me!
A brilliant combination of fabrics, design and color paired with the super pattern from Alissa Haight Carlton
Also my formal introduction to the wonder that is Amy Butler!

No truck show of mine would be complete without
Haha!
Many thanks to Avis@OhSewTempting for inspiring my "Year of the Chicken"!
Again, there is a chicken label on this blog, and a tutorial...so pick a chicken, any chicken!
2014
was
 Year of the Chicken!

Many thanks to Soma for making this Trunk Full of Quilts happen!

So many beauties here...design bed, eh? I usually use my floor...that's a great idea as long as there are no pins involved :)

Thanks for not having embedded comments that I can't use! I love your quilts, such a nice cheerful body of work. The one on your bed is very appealing. You have some lucky relatives to be the recipients of so much quilty goodness.

What a fun set of quilts! I had to dig deeper into your Voyageur Quilt because I so love the Hudson Bay look. Even though you showed what others did with the design idea, I think you made it uniquely your own with the scrappy piecing of the stripes. And I really like how you continued the stripes through the binding.
